Rock of Ages is an upcoming 2012 film adaptation of the 2006 Chris D'Arienzo comedyrock/jukebox Broadway musical of a similar name. Originally scheduled to enter production within the Summer of 2010 for a 2011 unleash, it eventually started production in could 2011 and is scheduled for a June fifteen, 2012 unleash. It stars country singer Julianne Hough and Diego Boneta with an ensemble forged together with Tom Cruise, Russell complete,Catherine Zeta-Jones, Paul Giamatti, Malin Åkerman, Bryan Cranston, Kevin Nash, withAlec Baldwin and Mary J. Blige. The film can feature the music of Bon Jovi, Guns N' Roses, Def Leppard, Foreigner, Journey, Poison, Europe, and Twisted Sister, and was directed by Adam Shankman.
The film follows waitress Sherrie Christian (Julianne Hough) and busboy Drew Boley (Diego Boneta) who fall in love throughout the pop metal era of the Nineteen Eighties. Rock of Ages tells the story of tiny city lady Sherrie and town boy Drew, who meet on the Sunset Strip whereas pursuing their Hollywood dreams.
This summer, the town — and also the cinema — are designed on rock and roll when "Rock of Ages" packs its ax, journeying from Broadway to a theater close to you.
